Letters are sent by the Internationals Board to all of the teams that compete at Internationals. Each letter unveiled another piece of information regarding the upcoming Internationals competition. The purpose of the slow roll-out of letters was to keep the studios on their heels and to see how well they adapt to new information.
The letters did not disclose all the information, any letter which referred to the specific dances did not reveal the twist that would come with each round. The twist was revealed the day of each round.

- The Next Step Dance Studio's letter revealed in "Sweet Spot" was originally tampered with by Riley and Ella. They changed the message to reveal that a square dance was needed for the competition when in fact it was not.
