"And Then There Were Three" is the 25th episode in Season 6 of The Next Step and the 179th episode overall. It aired on April 7, 2019.
Synopsis[]
At the finals of the Regionals, TNS deals with uncertainty as they are called to perform.[1]
Plot[]
In a lobby, Michelle and Emily are talking about AcroNation's props. Then Piper enters and asks to talk to them about the group dance. Piper wants to change the choreography and Michelle says that she will change the routine. Michelle says that Piper must be scared after what happened in the Contemporary Dance. Emily says that she doesn't want to change the choreography, and she has faith in Piper and she will nail it.
In the arena, Chuck and Giselle say about that there are only three teams left and they are starting with a clean slate. AcroNation is warming up as they are first. Amy says that she is the star dancer and she doesn't feel connected to her team. AcroNation goes on stage. Giselle is amazed about AcroNation being a new team and using such large props for the dance. A-Troupe are in the wings, Henry says that Amy is fire. Summer says that the routine is amazing. Thalia says that props can lift a dance off the ground. Michelle says to Emily that she underestimated Amy because she is incredible. AcroNation finishes their routine. Amy is walking off when Michelle stops her and she says that Amy is a star dancer.
Outside the arena, Richelle sat on her own since her broken down her emotions. Ozzy sees Richelle sat on her own. Richelle asks Ozzy why is he there. Ozzy tells Richelle that she has be strong and be get through it within. Richelle can tell that Ozzy cares and Richelle reveals that she doesn't like to be emotional. In The arena, Giselle welcomes the audience back to Regionals. Chuck says that Encore and The Next Step have their work cut out for them after AcroNation's Routine. Encore Dance Studios goes next. Davis walks out onto the stage. Emily says that she might have been wrong about Davis and they didn't give her a chance because she was new and believes that was a mistake. Jacquie says that things might be great with Davis but she can tell that Davis enjoys Encore. Summer says that Miss Angela is called a fix for nothing because of the routine. Finn and Piper are watching. Piper wants to be on her own. Finn asks her if he could join her and piper leaves. Encore finishes their routine.
A-Troupe is on stage and are getting ready to start dancing. Then Noah goes to hands in. Then Emily wonders where's Piper. Finn says that she want to be on her own and she would be back for the routine. Emily looks backstage for Piper, where she spots Piper sitting on her own. Emily asks Piper why she isn't on the stage. Piper is nervous and she doesn't want to dance, but Emily persuades her. They enter the stage. Noah goes to do a hands in. Emily and Michelle says there is no time for it. The curtain rises A-Troupe starts dancing to "Hold On to Me". Summer feels so grateful to be on A-Troupe. Kenzie feels the dance is great and states that she can feel the audience feeding off their energy. Richelle says that she has been to a lot of competitions and she has never seen a routine like this. Piper performs her aerial. They finish their routine. Noah says that at the dance was perfect but all the dances were perfect. Emily states that routine was the most daring routine they have ever done.
The judges call Encore, The Next Step and AcroNation to the stage. Noah states the most stressful part of Regionals was the finals routine. The judges have made their decision. There is a tie for second place and it is between AcroNation and The Next Step, meaning that Miss Angela's Encore Dance Studios has won. Both The Next Step and AcroNation are disappointed. In the lobby, both The Next Step and AcroNation are waiting for their buses. Backstage, Miss Angela and Curtis are meeting; Curtis says that Miss Angela has lifted the choreography on Encore's final routine. Lily sees Angela bribing the judge. Lily says that they need to do the right thing.
The Next Step and AcroNation are about to leave and they see Miss Angela being kicked out of the building. Kenzie asks Davis what is going on. Davis says that Encore has been disqualified. Thalia wonders what that mean. Emily says that means AcroNation and The Next Step will compete against each other. Emily says that The Next Step is still alive after all.

- This episode became available on BBC iPlayer on November 19, 2018, eight days prior to its scheduled release on CBBC.
- Miss Angela’s Encore Dance Studio is disqualified despite winning the finals due to plagiarising a dance online as their finals routine and then Miss Angela's subsequent attempt to bribe the judge. This means The Next Step Dance Studio and AcroNation will face off in a tie-breaker to decide the winner.
- There is a bonus scene in this episode featuring a disastrous interview between Finn, Kingston and Ozzy, and Chuck Anderson.
- As of Season 8, this is the last appearance of Berkeley Ratzlaff as Davis.

- Emily refusing to change the choreography because Piper can't perform an acro move, alludes to "Go West, Young Michelle", where the same thing happened.
- Richelle references Elliot breaking up with her that occurs in "His Girl, Summer".

- Jones is dancing with Miss Angela's Encore Dance Studio, but, in "Sweet and Salty", he was seen dancing for another studio. However, it is possible that he switched studios.
