Briar Anne Nolet (born December 27, 1998) is an actress, dancer, and model who portrayed a CDC dancer and Richelle on The Next Step.
Biography
Briar Nolet was born to Tamara Nolet[4] and former Olympic gymnast, Alan Nolet.[5]
Briar initially did gymnastics, inspired by her father.[5]
Briar started dancing at the age of seven.[6] She has competed in dance competitions since the age of 12 as part of Canadian Dance Company.[7]
Briar advanced to the final round in World of Dance Season 3 and placed 5th.[8]
In 2024, she appeared on the fourth season of Canada’s Got Talent.
Briar is credited as a choreographer in an episode in Season 7.[9]
Personal life
Briar has a sister named Abbey, who is also a dancer.[10]
When Briar was sixteen, she was diagnosed with epilepsy.[11]

- Briar made her first appearance on Season 1 of The Next Step as a CDC dancer, which happened before the character of Richelle was introduced to viewers in "Don't Stop the Party".
- Briar's favourite colour is sky blue.[12]
- Her favourite movie is High School Musical.[12]
- Her favourite childhood show is So You Think You Can Dance.[12]
- Briar's favourite snack is strawberries and sugar.[12]
- Briar was homeschooled during high school.[13]
- Briar can do 12 front aerials in a row.[14]
- Briar faced off against Joshua Lamb, who played Jones; and Denise Goping, who plays Unnamed J-Cruise dancer (4) on World of Dance in the redemption round and won.
- Briar is currently dating Colin McLeod.
- Briar once dated her co-star Myles Erlick,[15] having been in a relationship with him since 2014 at the age of 16, and moved in with him later on. They broke up in March 2022.
- She worked again with Trevor Tordjman (James), Isaac Lupien (Eldon), Isaiah Peck (Henry) and Emmerly Tinglin (Kenzie) in the movie Z-O-M-B-I-E-S (2018). [16]
