Season 7 of The Next Step is slated to air sometime in late 2018 and will consist of 20 episodes. one episode per weekday for 2 weeks, with a total of 20 episodes. Auditions for the season started on Januarry 22nd and commenced on the 24rth.
Milaina Robinson announced on December 25th that she would be arriving back to the show as her primary character Zara.

Shelby stated in an interview that she felt so proud to be portraying a character in the LGBT+ community because it is something very important, and then also said that Amy will definitely expand more on that depressed side of her that people saw in the previous season.
Devyn Nekoda says that Briar is the name of her character and she’s going to go through a problem of knwoing where she stands on the team and also with just fitting in as she is the new girl and so she kind of makes enemies that way it is kind of like she is the new Michelle of the show.
Milaina Robinson announced that her character is not going to get a love interest but, has been looking into the possibility of having one in the next season If that does happen.
Synopsis[]
Regionals is back! With the blood, sweat, and tears that it took The Next Step, it is finally time to settle down and focus on what is important: Winning Regionals. Which is great because they do not need to attend the qualifier due to them being the reason Regionals is back and they are permitted 4 alternates instead of the usual 2, along with professional dancers allowed. Now they can finally begin, but it won’t be easy. When they begin, it’ll be hard due to having to pick themselves up from a very hard time, but luckily, in time, everyone will make up and this will mean everything. Hopefully they can all come together to achieve the regionals dream, but before that, they need to come up with their team before they focus on the routine, but that is gonna be hard.
