The Doctors is about Ozzy going to the local doctors and finding out what is the next step for his ankle injury
The Doctors. Love them or hate them, we all have to go to them at some point at some point for one thing or another.
I personally hate the doctors just because I have been soo many times due to my ankles. The lights, the sounds and the ever lasting fear that something is really wrong.
I keep staring off into space in hopes that I will still be in my bed, but no. I am still here, in this waiting room, ready to talked through. I have already been moved once, just because of the urgency of the appointment.
I am just really scared because of the amount of times I have been injured and if today is going to be worse. And today is the first time that I will be going into the room alone.
"Mr Oswald Davies?"
I hear my name and walk over to were they stood. I walk through the door and I sort of feel the air change. It becomes scary and close, before it was nice and calming. Not anymore.
I went though the door and walk to the closest chair to the desk when the doctor told me to take a seat, I just have a thing about not doing things till someone asks me, I do not want to assume that people want my help.
"What can I do for you?"
"The dance captain of the team that I recently joined told me that I needed to come back to the doctor to make sure that I was definitely ok with my ankle. I think that it is worse then the other injuries that I have had, and I have had a lot other injures before this."
"Ok, do you mind if I have a little look at it?"
I walk over to the bench and take my shoe off and reveal the swollen ankle. It is a lot worse today for some reason. When the doctor sees, he goes really pale.
"Ok. So there is some level of swelling there, but it seems that because you have had many injures that you are able to use other parts of your feet, but also injured those parts, so it seems a lot worse then what it probably is. I might just contact the hospital just for an x-ray to really make sure that nothing is truly wrong."
I have a feeling that he is keeping something from me, but what ever he suggests I think will be the best thing for me.
"I think that you should up the dancing a little so that if you do take time off then you still have the dancing in you. Do you have any questions?"
"No thanks. I am good thank you."
I get up and put my shoe back on. The doctor gets up and walks to the door and opens it.
I walk out of the door and into the hallway.
"You should get the letter for the appointment in a few weeks and that will tell you all about everything that you need to know for the appointment." The doctor says.
"Just to make sure, you are not hiding anything from me, because if you are, then I really do suggest that you tell me know?" I ask, just to make sure, I need this appointment to go ok otherwise, my whole dance career could be other before it is even started.
"Just make sure if anything changes, like the pain gets any worse, stop dancing, even if you have to physical leave your rehearsals, then that is what you must do."
