The head choreographer is the second highest role in the studio hierarchy, and is a role given to the person who choreographs for the dancers as well as oversees major work.

History

Chris became the head choreographer at The Next Step Dance Studio in 2006.[1] He remains as the head choreographer for many years, until he leaves to become the co-owner of Superstar Dance Academy.[2] Upon his departure, Phoebe becomes the head choreographer, but leaves after eight months to live in the Galapagos Islands.[3] Additionally, Lucien is the head choreographer at Elite Dance Academy until its eventual disbandment.[4]

The former head choreographers of The Next Step Dance Studio are Daniel and West, for TNS East and TNS West respectively. They become co-head choreographers of The Next Step after TNS East and TNS West's merge,[5] but leave after Emily and Michelle are fired as co-studio heads.[6] It is unknown why they do not return when Emily and Michelle do.

Eldon is hired by Thalia as the head choreographer of AcroNation.[7]
