A-Troupe dances to "Do What I Want" in Studio A as Riley watches. In Talking Heads, the dancers reflect upon a variety of things that have occurred; Richelle asserts that if the team doesn't win the next qualifier they are doomed, Amanda talks about her relationship with Noah and of his back injury, Amy confess how awkward it is between herself and Sloane ever since she began dating LaTroy, Sloane confesses that she is having trouble coming to terms with Amy and LaTroy's relationship, Riley confesses that kissing Alfie was a mistake that can never happen again especially since James is in England, Alfie confesses that he has strong feelings for Riley but that she hasn't spoken to him, and Piper expresses how much knowing about the kiss is killing her.
Piper struggles to rehearse her duet with Alfie. As Alfie inquires as to what is wrong, Riley enters the studio to see how the rehearsal is going. Piper confesses that after seeing the kiss, she does not even want to be in the same room as them and abruptly leaves. Upon Piper's departure, Alfie attempts to speak to Riley, but Riley lies that she has work to do.
Amy is fawning over LaTroy to Cassie and Piper in Java Junction, although Piper is distracted by the thought of Riley and Alfie's kiss. Sloane approaches the three and asks what they were talking about; Cassie attempts to lie that they were talking about spinach but Piper absentmindedly reveals the truth, making Sloane even more sure that she cannot be friends with Amy. Nonetheless, she sits with them upon Cassie's persistent request. Cassie confesses that the Zero Percent Club has hit a rough patch. Meanwhile, Amanda is on the phone with Noah in the Lounge. Henry is also in the room, albeit with headphones on, causing Amanda to believe that he cannot hear her lovey-dovey conversation. Little does she know, he is not actually listening to music and can hear the whole conversation. When Amanda signs off, Henry reveals that he heard the whole conversation; he only uses his headphones to listen in on conversations. Despite being embarrassed, Amanda wishes to learn how to do what he did. Riley approaches the members of the Zero Percent Club. Upon Riley's entrance, Piper immediately leaves the store. Riley asks Cassie, Piper, and Amy to clean the mirrors in the Rehearsal Room. Cassie claims that she has to practice a solo and departs, leaving Amy and Sloane to clean the mirrors alone together.
Alfie enters Riley's office with the intention of speaking to her, but Riley rejects his offer. Riley confesses that she feels like people will figure out that she and Alfie kissed if they see she and him together. When Alfie prods Riley for a reason for her avoidance of him, Riley lies that she is just very busy.
Cassie performs a solo to "More Than That" in Studio A in an attempt to relieve herself from the drama encircling her friends. Piper enters the studio and notes with envy that Cassie looks very free when she dances. When she finishes dancing, Cassie asks Piper what is wrong and, although she wishes to be consoled by her friend, Piper lies that she has a bad rehearsal with Alfie and is fearful that Riley will be angry. Cassie decides to help Piper rehearse the duet, which marginally consoles Piper. Meanwhile, Sloand and Amy are cleaning the mirrors in the Rehearsal Room. Amy attempts to clear the air by talking about her summer job at the gas station. Although Sloane laughs at Amy's joke, she claims that she is not yet ready to be her friend. In the Lounge, Henry is teaching Amanda how to effectively eavesdrop with headphones on. As Amanda puts on the act, Alfie rushes into the room to speak to Henry about something secret. Henry finds himself stuck in his position as Alfie tells him about how he kissed the girl that has a boyfriend (Henry confesses that although Alfie never said who the person is, that he knows). When Alfie leaves, Amanda opens her mouth in shock and decides that she needs to know who Alfie kissed.
Riley is sitting alone in Java Junction when she receives a video call from James. Riley begrudgingly answers the call. While talking to him, Riley finds herself feeling worse about what she did to him. Suddenly, James asks Riley how Piper is doing; he tells her that his mom told him that Piper has been very moody lately and that she even walked in on her crying. Riley realizes that Piper has been acting strange lately and vows to speak to her. James tells Riley that he loves her before signing off, but Riley ends the call without telling him that she loves him.
Amanda demands Henry to tell her who Alfie kissed. After a close call, Henry gets Amanda off of his back. In the Rehearsal Room, Amy and Sloane finally finish cleaning the mirrors. After some coercing on Amy's part, Sloane finally decides to be friends with Amy again.
Piper sits in the Lounge sullenly. When Alfie enters, she attempts to leave, but he stops her. Alfie tries to get Piper to tell him what he did wrong, but Piper is unwilling to converse with him. Piper tells Alfie that he is not the one she needs to talk to and leaves. Piper confesses that it is time to get everything out in the open. Piper enters Riley's office. Riley asks Piper if she is okay and Piper assures her that she is not okay. Near tears, Piper tells Riley that she saw her kiss Alfie. Riley is left speechless, confessing that James will be heartbroken when he finds out.
