Family Channel (presently referred to as Family) is a Canadian cable and satellite television channel that was launched on September 1, 1988.[1]
Family Channel was The Next Step's main broadcast network for episodes in Seasons 1 to 4. Although, throughout seasons 5 to 8, the show has moved its "main" or first broadcasting network to CBBC, a network located in the United Kingdom.
History
Family Channel caters predominantly towards individuals of the ages 8 to 14. In addition to Canadian shows and channel originals, the channel airs sitcoms and shows from United States-based companies such as: Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD.[1]
