Stockholm Dansteater (translated from Swedish to English as Stockholm Dance Theatre) is a dance studio located in Stockholm, Sweden. They are one of many teams who compete at the 17th Annual Absolute Dance Internationals.
History
Stockholm Dansteater is an exceptional team, as stated by Amanda[2], and as seen by their countless victories at Absolute Dance Internationals. They have been to the worldwide competition at least four times, as their male soloist, Kyle, has won the title of Mister Internationals Soloist four times as of "When the War is Over". Amanda believes that they are impossible to beat, and that the dancers at The Next Step wouldn't even be in their studio's equivalent of B-Troupe.[2]
Despite their expertise, they are a very excitable and friendly team. Amanda claims that the team is like a family even outside of the studio, greatly mirroring The Next Step.[2] Their kindness is seen further when the team happily claps after The Next Step's performance in the finals.[3]
After a hot-streak at the 17th Annual Internationals, the studio loses in the tie-breaking round after the finals to The Next Step Dance Studio.[3]
Description
Stockholm Dansteater are known on the Internationals stage as an extremely well-respected and accomplished studio. Unlike most other major competitive studios on the show, its dancers are professional and kind. Their dancers appear kind and gracious in defeat, as seen when their members clapped and smiled at The Next Step Dance Studio's finale routine. They are also fair competitors as seen when their Studio Head has Lucien taken off the Internationals board even though it would have helped their studio to win.
Stockholm have extremely technical dancers and often produce contemporary routines which reflect their flawless technical ability.
Uniform
The team's uniform consists of royal blue jackets worn over a white shirt patterned with sunflowers. Their team name is written vertically on the back of their jackets. The female dancers wear the uniform with either blue jogging bottoms or black leggings, and the male dancers wear blue shorts.
