A studio owner is the owner of a studio. Often, the studio owner is also the studio head, although the two roles are not necessarily synonymous. A studio owner often has stakes or a share in the studio and as such there may be multiple owners of a singular studio.
History
Kate is introduced as the studio owner of The Next Step Dance Studio when the show begins,[1] and is still the owner during the time that Riley, Michelle, Emily and Angela respectively serve as studio head.[2] Kate sells The Next Step Dance Studio to prospective, dance enthusiast Nick.
Chris and Phoebe are merely head choreographers at The Next Step Dance Studio, until Chris leaves to co-own Superstar Dance Academy [3] and Phoebe leaves to "swim with the turtles" in the Galapagos Islands.
Lucien used to be the studio owner at Elite Dance Academy, but since this is no longer a studio[4] it can be assumed he no longer bears this title.
Angela is the studio owner of Encore Dance Studios; and as Thalia created AcroNation, it can be assumed she is the studio owner.
