"Three's a Crowd" is the 4th episode of Season 7 of The Next Step and the 184th episode overall. It aired on January 29, 2020.[1]
Synopsis[]
Piper's attempt to ignite a friendship between Finn and Amy quickly turns into a disaster.[1]
Plot[]
"I'll get to you when I get to you!" - The missing information in this section of the article is to be added. |
Trivia[]
- This episode became available on BBC iPlayer on January 22, 2020, one week prior to its scheduled release on CBBC.
- The opening sequence has changed to remove Noah, Jacquie and Davis, and added Cleo, Heath and Lily.
- Henry, Kenzie, Kingston, Lily, Ozzy and Summer are in a featured routine for Nationals, and Heath is the understudy.
- Amy and Finn are both Piper's best friends.
- Heath and Ozzy are attempting to get along.
- Ethan and Grace are on B-Troupe.
- Richelle will be spending time away from the studio to attend a convention as the Face of Absolute Dance.
- Henry might be removed from the featured routine.
- This marks Ozzy's third dance battle he faced.
Continuity[]
- Henry refers to the previous dance battle that he experienced between TNS East and TNS West, which occurs in "East Meets West". While there were two dance battles in Season 6, between Richelle and Jacquie, and Ozzy and Elliot respectively, Henry saw neither of them, and therefore could only have been referring to the dance battle between TNS East and TNS West.
- Lily and Richelle both refer to their respective stints as dance captain.
- Richelle refers to TNS East and TNS West that are formed in Season 5.
- Finn references Amy transferring to AcroNation, which occurs in "Never Been Picked".
- Piper mentions the Fruity Moons commercial Finn was in as a child, which she found out about in "Pas De Don't".
- Summer's dilemma of whether or not to take her boyfriend out of a featured dance is reminiscent of what happened to Amy regarding Ty in "All the Marbles".
Errors[]
- In the "Previously on The Next Step" segment, Heath says "First I take the alternate spot - then I take Oswald's spot on A-Troupe", something he has never said in previous episodes.
- Richelle claims that she was the dance captain of both TNS East and TNS West, but she was never on TNS West, let alone dance captain. However, she could be referring to when she and Piper were briefly co-captains of the merged A-Troupe, before Noah officially became dance captain.
- Piper tells Amy that Finn was the child star in the Fruity Moons commercial despite having promised him that she would never tell anyone about it ever again in "A-Troupe Escape".

- The title of this episode refers to the common proverb "two's a company, three's a crowd".
